We got to the airport in Nassau, checked into Western Air, and off we were to the Exumas—well, almost. Our flight was delayed an hour (classic island time), and we had woken up at an ungodly hour to make it. But finally, we were in the air, and 25 minutes later, we touched down in paradise.

Upon arrival, we did what every seasoned Exuma traveler does—crossed the street to pick up our rental car. No shuttle, no fuss, just grab the keys and go. We headed straight to our hotel, Peace & Plenty, where we checked in, dropped our bags, and made a beeline for the pool and bar for a mimosa. Because priorities.

The first ferry to Peace & Plenty Beach Club on Stocking Island was about to depart, but instead of rushing aboard, we sent Dom as our brave scout to test the waters—literally. It was not your typical “postcard-perfect” Bahamas day, so we weren’t about to risk getting tossed overboard for nothing. Once he gave the all-clear (sort of), Sophia and I hopped on the next ferry, gripping onto our seats for dear life during the bumpy 7-minute ride across.

Upon arrival, we were greeted not only by Dom but by something even better—spicy margaritas. Just as we started settling in, the sky decided to open up, and a huge rainstorm rolled in. Since we had originally come to explore and create content, we quickly adapted to our new, more responsible plan: drinking.

Eventually, the rain gave us a break, so we decided to make the infamous trek over to Chat N’ Chill. This wasn’t just a walk—it was a scenic, ankle-deep water wade around the island. When we finally arrived, we were met with the most charmingly rustic beach bar, complete with tree swings, a mountain of conch shells, and—oh yeah—about ten stingrays casually swimming around like they owned the place. These weren’t just any stingrays; these were the Chat N’ Chill VIPs, practically the bar’s official mascots. They were so friendly, sucking on our toes (yes, really) and looking for conch scraps.

After sufficiently bonding with the stingrays, we treated ourselves to fresh conch salad, made right before our eyes. Then, naturally, we headed to the bar for daiquiris—because what’s an Exuma day without a few tropical cocktails?

Hours later, it was time to ferry back. Let’s just say the ride wasn’t exactly smooth, but the margarita buzz helped. Back at the hotel, we unwound in our rooms and soaked in the breathtaking sunset before rallying for dinner.

Dinner was a short 15-minute drive to Blu on the Water, a dreamy spot with unreal views of that signature Exuma blue water. A steel drum player provided the perfect island soundtrack while we feasted on local lobster and fresh fish. It was the kind of meal that made you feel like you were truly on vacation.

After stuffing ourselves, we called it an early night because the next day was a BIG one—we were headed to the brand-new Coconut Beach Club.

Bright and early, I woke up, caught the sunrise, and got to work downloading content from the day before (aka reliving all our best moments). We grabbed breakfast downstairs at the hotel and then made our way to the government dock to catch the ferry to Coconut Club.

For all the juicy details on Coconut Club, stay tuned for the next story—you won’t want to miss this one!
